How to Include Gifts to in Your Will or Trust

When you are first setting up your Trust & Will Estate Plan:

  1. When creating your estate plan, you will encounter the prompt "Would you like to leave gifts, property or items to specific people?", and click Yes to affirm
  2. For each item, provide a detailed description in the 'Gift' section
  3. Add the name in the 'Gift Recipient' section
  4. Click Save & Continue to update your will accordingly

Editing Gifts in Your Estate Plan

If you already set up your Trust & Will Estate Plan you can modify the gift or the recipient:

  1. Click Estate Plan from the menu bar on the left side of the page and select your Designation Summary tab at the top.
  2. Scroll down until you reach the 'Distributions' section and click Edit
  3. Progress through the questions presented by clicking Save & Continue (a perfect opportunity to make any necessary adjustments to your will!)
  4. Upon encountering the prompt "Would you like to leave gifts, property or items to specific people?", click Yes to affirm
  5. Review the gifts you have already listed and edit as needed
  6. To add more, scroll down and select Add Another Gift
  7. Click Save & Continue to update your documents accordingly
