Getting Started with the Trust & Will Attorney Platform

Your clients trust you to guide them through some of life's most important decisions. The Trust & Will Attorney Platform is built to support that work — giving you powerful tools to manage client estate planning documents, surface key insights, and stay ahead of life changes that may signal it's time for a plan update.

How do I create my attorney platform account?

Signing up is simple — head to app.trustandwill.com/signup?userRole=attorney to get started. We recommend using your firm email address for your attorney account, as it needs to be separate from any existing personal Trust & Will consumer account. Once you're in, start by completing your profile — this helps us match you with the right referrals. Your account manager can also walk you through the full dashboard on an onboarding call.

What can I do on the platform?

The attorney platform is designed around four core capabilities:

  • Document uploads and AI analysis — Upload client estate plans directly from your dashboard, whether they're scanned documents or digital files, individually or in batches. Our AI analyzes each document to generate a summary, identify the people named in the plan, flag key data points, and detect potential life events — like marriage, new dependents, or real estate changes — that may signal a client needs to update their plan. You'll see all of these insights in your dashboard.
  • Referral management — When Trust & Will members need legal help beyond what our platform covers — think complex probate, real estate transfers, or litigation — our team matches them with attorneys in our network based on state licensure and practice area. You'll be notified via email when a referral comes in, and it will also appear in your dashboard. You bill the client directly at your standard rates, and Trust & Will doesn't take a fee. There's no minimum volume commitment and no exclusivity requirement.
  • Client and household management — Individual clients each have their own record. Married couples are typically linked under a single household record — so if you upload documents for both spouses, they'll appear together.
  • Client insights — Your dashboard surfaces the AI-generated summaries and life event signals for all uploaded documents, making it easy to stay on top of your clients' planning needs.

Does the platform generate documents for me?

Not at this time. The platform is focused on document analysis, life event detection, referral management, and client insights — not document drafting. If that's something you'd like to see, we'd love your feedback. We're always evaluating new features based on input from our attorney partners.

Is my client's data secure?

Absolutely. Trust & Will is SOC 2 certified and uses industry-standard encryption across the platform. Only you have access to your uploaded documents — our team does not have routine access to your files. Client data is used solely to power the AI summaries and insights in your dashboard, and we never sell attorney-uploaded data to third parties. Your documents are also never used to train public AI models.

Is there a cost to join?

No. There is no cost to join the Trust & Will referral network or access the attorney platform.

What if I have questions or feedback?

Your account manager is your primary point of contact for anything platform-related. You can also reach our Attorney Ops team directly at attorneyops@trustandwill.com — we genuinely want your feedback, and it's how we prioritize what to build next.
