How to Turn Off Auto-Renew for Estate Plan Updates

You can see the status of your ability to make updates to your documents, purchase another year of updates, and turn off auto-renew for yearly updates in the 'Estate Plan updates' section in your Profile & settings

How To Turn-Off Auto-renew

To opt out of auto-renew for annual updates, follow these instructions after signing into your account:

  1. Click My Account in the top right corner of the page:
  2. Click Profile & settings from the drop-down menu:
  3. Scroll down until you see the 'Membership status' section, then click Turn-off auto-renew

Currently, auto-renew cannot be turned back on once it's been turned off. However, even if you turn off auto-renew, you can still buy another year of updates as needed (see prices below)!

  • First 30 days of estate plan updates: Complimentary, starting from the date of purchase.
    • If you opted out of auto-renew at checkout, you will be automatically charged for a year of updates on the last day.
    • If you did not opt into auto-renew at checkout, you can purchase a year of updates anytime after your access expires in your account by going to your Profile & Settings.
    • Once purchased, you will get one year of access. After one year, you will lose access but you will be able to purchase another year of updates directly in your account.
  • Subsequent years of Membership: Based on your selected estate plan:
    • Will-Based Plan: $19/year
    • Trust-Based Plan: $39/year
