Funding Your Business Interest Into Your Trust with TrustFunding.com

A signed trust is an important first step, but your trust only protects what's actually been transferred into it. This process is called funding your trust, and it works differently depending on the type of asset.

To help members with business interests like LLCs and S-Corps, Trust & Will has partnered with TrustFunding.com, a specialist team that handles the entire funding process for you, from document preparation to institutional coordination.

About TrustFunding.com

TrustFunding.com is a trust funding service that helps members transfer their business interests (including LLCs, S-Corps, C-Corps, and partnerships) into their trust. They handle the consultation, document preparation, and fulfillment from start to finish. Trust & Will facilitates the connection, and TrustFunding.com manages the rest.

The initial 30-minute consultation is free with no commitment. If you decide to move forward, business interest transfers start at $239 per entity — a fraction of what a traditional attorney typically charges. Multi-member entities may be higher depending on complexity, and TrustFunding.com will confirm your specific price during the consultation. All payments are handled directly by TrustFunding.com.

Note: TrustFunding.com is a partner, not a Trust & Will product, and Trust & Will does not have access to your TrustFunding.com account, consultation details, or transfer status.

How to Get Started

  1. Log in to your Trust & Will account and click Estate Inventory in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click into an existing business interest (LLC, S-Corp, etc.) — or click + Add to add one.
  3. Inside the asset, you'll see a prompt: "Funding a Trust with a limited liability company (LLC) business interest." Click Get started.
  4. On the next screen, select "Visit TrustFunding.com" under the Professional transfer service option.
  5. Book your free 30-minute consultation using TrustFunding.com's scheduling page.
  6. Meet with their team, and they'll review your business interest and explain exactly what's involved.
  7. If you choose to move forward, TrustFunding.com prepares all documents and handles the process directly with you.
