Advisors can grant delegate access to an assistant or support team member to help manage their dashboard. This guide explains who can be a delegate, what they can do, and how to set up access.
Who can be a delegate
- Each advisor can add one delegate to their account.
- The delegate must be an administrative assistant or other support staff member.
- Another advisor cannot be assigned as a delegate — the system will block this action.
What can a delegate can do
- A delegate has the same dashboard access as the advisor.
- They can view and manage client information and tools.
- They cannot access the advisor’s Profile & Settings page.
- This restriction protects personal and account-specific information.
How to add a delegate
- Log in to your advisor dashboard.
- Select the option to add a delegate.
- Enter the delegate’s email address.
- The delegate will receive an email invitation with a "Create Your Delegate Access Account" button.
- The delegate must click the button and follow the prompts to create their account.
- After setup, the delegate is automatically redirected to the advisor's dashboard.
What happens after delegate access is granted
- The delegate can immediately access tools and client lists.
- Access to Profile & Settings remains restricted.
- Feature availability may vary depending on your broker-dealer, RIA, or firm.
