Referring clients to Trust & Will takes just a few minutes and brings estate planning into your client conversations in a meaningful way. Once your Advisor Portal is set up, you'll have a unique referral link to share — and two ways to send it.
Referral Methods
There are two referral methods available in your Advisor Portal. You may see one or both, depending on your firm.
- Copy Referral Link: Copy your unique referral link and paste it directly into an email to your client. When they click the link, they'll be guided through creating their estate plan and will be automatically added to your Advisor Portal.
- Add/Refer Client: Enter your client's email address directly in the portal. Trust & Will will send them a personalized referral invitation, along with follow-up reminders if they haven't signed up yet.
Both methods bring clients to the same place — the difference is simply whether the invitation comes from Trust & Will or directly from you.
Tracking Referrals
Once a client signs up using your referral link, they'll appear in your Clients section in the Advisor Portal. You can track their progress in real time, and once they complete their plan and grant you access, you can view their estate plan details directly from your portal.
Note: A client will not appear in your portal until they begin the estate planning process after creating an account through your referral link.
